General purpose filters are used in compressed air systems to remove liquids and solid particles
from the compressed air. Standard features with 5 micron brass element and manual drain.
We offer remote control valves for all our machines, which allows for one man operation.
How the pneumatic remote control system works
The remote control enable the operator to start or interrupt blasting from a remote position and is a saftey equipment to prevent accidents.
The pneumatic remote controls consist of a remote control valve RM-100 or RM-50, a deadman handle and a twinline hose. The red remote control hose guides compressed air from the remote control valve to the deadman handle. When the deadman handle is depressed, the air passes from the red to the blue hose and is guided back to the remote control valve. The pot is pressurized and the blast process starts. When the deadman handle is released, the blast process stops (the port is depressurized).
BTV valve is a normally closed abrasive metering valve requiring air supply to open it, thus permitting abrasive flow. It is utilized in pressure hold applications where quick on/off blasting is essential. This valve designed for use with an abrasive cut off switch which allows for blow down capability and is available with either Urethane or Tungsten Carbide sleeve.
Manufactured from high quality non corrosive alloy, this valve is recommended for use with non metallic abrasives. Precise abrasive flow can be easily controlled by two stainless steel discs, one stationary and other one rotates to any aperture opening available in 1-1/4” and 1/2” sizes.
A long-lasting heavy-duty hose exceptionally tough and abrasion resistant, for use in sand and steel blasting service; it is manufactured with anti-static rubber granting a complete discharge of static electricity.
Temperature range: -40ºC (-40ºF) to 70ºC (+158ºF)
Tube: Black, smooth with excellent resistance to abrasion; it is anti-static.
Reinforcement: High strength synthetic cord.
Cover: Black, smooth (wrapped finish) highly abrasion resistant synthetic rubber; it is anti-static.
Coils: 125 mt (419 ft) continuous length; 60mt (200ft) or 40 Mt (131 ft) coil available on request.
Air cooled aftercoolers
Air cooled compressed air aftercoolers cools the compressed air with atmospheric air.
The compressed air is cooled to approximately 9oC above ambient temperature. A sufficient
capacity aftercooler can take upto 80% of the moisture present in the compressed air.
The BL Series is a complete aftercooler package designed to work on most models of rotary air compressors. To select the appropriate model, simply determine compressor horse power, and select model from the chart.

All abrasive blasting creates breathable particles of dust, which may include silica, and which
may lead to various diseases including silicosis, a lung disease that can be fatal.
Abrasive rebound of direct blast also may injure an unprotected operator.
Therefore, safety requires that those persons in the area of abrasive blasting always wear
properly selected and maintained, government approved respiratory equipment and
full protective clothing, from head to foot.
Airline filters can be used in conjunction with other compressor safeguards to supply cleaner air to supplied air-respirators. Air filters reduce pollutants in respirator air supplied to workers. These filters remove mists, water vapors and particulates from air supplied by compressor.
Air enters the filter through side inlet port. Moisture is removed by expansion in the filters outer chamber and passes out through a drain cock at the bottom of the unit. The air is then forced through a filter cartridge which contains several filtering materials including activated charcoat before it passes out through the top of the filter and into the hose to the helmet.

Whip Check Safety Cables
Safety cables should be used on all blast hose and air hose connections to reduce the danger caused by hose coupling failure. Safety cables are available from Blastline in two sizes: (1/8 dia - 20 1/4 length, 1/4 dia - 38 1/4 length) Designed for 1/2" to 1 1/4" OD hose and for 1 1/2 to 3" OD hose
Wet film gauges give the inspector a quick, low cost method of checking the thickness of freshly applied coatings. It is important that a coating is applied to the correct thickness. Applying too much wet coating will not only waste time and money, but there is also a possibility of the coating cracking during the curing process. Too little coating and there is a chance that the substrate will not be sufficiently covered.
To control process variables, it is often desirable to measure whilst the film is still wet. Wet film measurements are also useful for systems where the dry film thickness can only be measured destructively.
Gauges using magnetic principles offer a simple and effective method to measure coating thickness on a magnetic subtrate. Electronic coating thickness instruments can be supplied to measure:
Non-ferromagnetic materials on a ferrous sustrate. Any nonconductive material on a conductive substrate.
Destructive methods for both ferrous and non-ferrous materials on non-conductive surfaces such as wood, concrete, plastic or glass using a test employing a precision cutter and optical measurement.
Testing adhesion or bond strength of the coating to the subtrate is imperative for successful coating procedures.

Checking for flaws and holidays after application can help eliminate the early appearance of rust and surface deteioration and ensure an effective long life coating system. Premature corrosion of a substrate is usually due to the failure of the coating. A major cause of failure is the presence of flaws in the finished coating. Collectively referred to as a coating’s porosity the main types of flaw are: Runs and sags, Cissing, Cratering, Pinholes, Over coating, Under coating
The consequent cost of repairs and subsequent loss of production can be considerable. Early inspection for coating flaws will prevent the expense and inconvenience of a coating failure. Instruments used to detect coating flaws are referred to by many different names, these include spark or jeep testers, porosity or holiday detectors and pinhole testers. There are two methods of testing, wet sponge technique and high voltage technique. Elcometer has a range of products that meet your particular requirement.

Whereas comparators allow the estimation of surface roughness, by both touch and sight, the Elcometer 122 Testex Tape allows the user to measure the peak-to-valley height of the profile and record it. Elcometer 122 Testex Tape consists of foam with a non-compressible backing. The foam side is rubbed into the surface providing a permanent mould of the profile. The Elcometer 124 Thickness Gauge is then used to measure the peak-to-valley height of a surface profile formed in Elcometer 122 Testex Tape.
The Testex Tape range is available in four profile ranges. It is important that the tape grade chosen is reflective of the profile under measurement.

Blastline venturi blast cleaning nozzles are available with a choice of liners and in a wide range of styles, sizes and lenghts to suit all applications. Most are available with either a 32 mm diameter or 25 mm entry. Customers can also specify the size of locating threads; either fine thread (11.5 tpi) or the more popular large thread (50 mm), which provides easier location/removal from a nozzle holder. To ensure optimum life, all Blastline nozzles should always be used with the appropriate nozzle gasket.
ALUMINIUM & POLYURETHANE JACKETED TC NOZZLES - 11/4 " X 50MM
With all the excellent durability and wear resistance properties of aluminium jacketed nozzles, the tungsten carbide liner is encased in a soft nylon jacket which absorbs shock, reducing the threat of premature failure from liner damage.
The silicon carbide liner in these lightweight nozzles offer improved wear resistance and therefore a longer life than tungsten carbide equivalents. The soft nylon outer jacket absorbs shocks and therefore protects the liner against cracking.
ANGLED NOZZLE
'Angled' tungsten carbide blast nozzles are ideal for cleaning inacessible areas (e.g. pipe internals, behind angles) and are available with one, two or three outlets, each in a range of bore sizes. The aluminium jacket protects the liner from ricochet damage.
